Joe Joyce claims another quick knockout in his Heavyweight bout against Ivica Bacurin.
Bacurin deserves a lot of credit for taking the fight at the last minute after Ghana’s Richard Lartey who withdrew from the fight on Thursday.
It didn’t even take Commonwealth Champion Joe Joyce two minutes to claim his fifth win in his five fights since he turned professional.
Joyce was on the front foot right from the start and Bacurin was sent to the ground after Joyce caught him on the back of the head and that was it. The ref stopped the fight with Bacurin not able to beat the count.
Now all attention will be turned to who and what is next for Joe Joyce as the Juggernaut is sure to want to face fighters like Hughie Fury who holds the British Heavyweight Title and was in attendance for Joyce’s fight.
David Haye who promotes Joe Joyce did say after the fight that he would be approaching Fury’s team to try and make the fight happen. So we will have to wait and see what happens as both parties look to reach an agreement.
