Goodwin Boxing are delighted to announce the signing of 28-year-old English Super-Flyweight Champion Brad Watson.
Watson won the English title with a devastating 10th round knock out of Loua Nassa in February 2018. Watson has been inactive since but now signing with the powerful Goodwin team intends to be very active in 2019.
In their meeting yesterday the first decision Goodwin and Watson made was to vacate the English title. Watson will, therefore, be withdrawing for the fight. The simple reason is that Watson cannot safely make the Super-Flyweight division any more and will now be campaigning at Bantamweight where he will be aiming for major titles in 2019.
Watson’s return to the ring will be at the “CRUNCH TIME” show at York Hall on 16th March. He is then looking at two more potential fights before the summer recess.
An exciting development is that Goodwin is looking at the potential of staging a major show in Guernsey for Watson in September and work is being done on this already.
“I am delighted to sign management with Steve” said Brad “He always has a plan which is great for any boxer and am looking forward to the future together.”
