- Lomachenko’s manager makes injury claim and Teofimo Lopez responds
Vasyl Lomachenko’s manager has told ESPN that Anatoly Lomachenko wanted Loma to pull out of the undisputed clash due to having two injections for a shoulder injury. Teofimo Lopez responded saying he had too injuries going into the bout but he doesn’t make excuses. Lopez said “as someone who was considered the #1 best boxer in the whole world, to use that excuse, it just looks more bad on him than anything else.”

Bob Arum has revealed that the two leading men to take on Tyson Fury this December are Agit Kabayel and Carlos Takam. Arum also said that if Teofimo Lopez is to stay in the lightweight division, Arum’s preferred opponent is Ryan Garcia. Oscar De La Hoya agreed saying he “can’t wait” to do that fight.

With the stats released by ESPN, the bout peaked at nearly three million viewers and was the most-streamed boxing event ever. The flight many were calling the biggest fight of the year lived up to it’s name, being the most viewed boxing telecast across all networks since 2019.
- Tony Bellew managed fighter signs for Matchroom
Light-heavyweight Thomas Whittaker-Hart has signed a multi-fight deal with Matchroom and will debut on November the 14th. The Liverpudlian is managed by Tony “The Bomber” Bellew and has a record of 4-0. He will face Jermaine Springer on the undercard of Taylor vs Gutierrez.
